INFRASTRUCTURE
- SCIENCE LABORATORIES: The school has well-equipped and well-stocked Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science Laboratories where specimens, models, picture-charts and educational CDs are used as effective tools to teach Science.
- COMPUTER CENTRE: The school has state-of-the-art computer labs equipped with the latest Intel i3 Processors and 24 x 7 online connectivity (WI MAX). The labs are multimedia equipped to provide online support to students and teachers. All academic and administrative work is facilitated by the Computer Centre.
- PSYCHOLOGY LABORATORY : The school features a well-equipped Psychology Laboratory, providing students with a hands-on learning environment to explore key psychological concepts through experiments, assessments, and practical applications. Aligned with the CBSE curriculum, the lab includes standardized tests, reaction time apparatus, memory experiments, and perception studies, helping students connect theory with practice. Through interactive activities, students enhance critical thinking, analytical skills, and research aptitude, gaining deeper insights into human behavior and cognition.
- SMART BOARDS: 106 smart boards with i3 and i5 Processors are installed in classes Pre-School to XII for online and offline teaching. Teachers use educational videos, presentations and various online resources to make classroom teaching more informative & interactive.
- LIBRARIES: The libraries offer reading material on a myriad subjects, reference books, encyclopedias, journals, magazines, audio-visual aids, language games, etc. Activities like Book Clubs, Writers’ Forum, Literary Clubs and Book Fairs are frequently organized by the school to foster and inculcate love for reading. Both the junior and senior libraries have computerized issuing system. Senior Library also has a Study Centre.
- SCHOOL CLINIC: The school clinic is looked after by a qualified doctor and caring nursing staff. Regular medical check-ups are conducted and a dossier of every student is maintained. The clinic has a four bedded A/C medical room fully equipped to cater to any unforeseen emergency. Students who require medical attention during school hours are free to contact the school doctor with permission of the teacher in the class or by informing the Class Monitor. In case of an accident, a round-the-clock ambulance is kept in readiness to transfer any seriously sick/injured child to a nearby hospital.
- GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING CELL: Highly qualified and experienced counsellors render guidance and counselling services. The counselling cell of the school is a psychological service centre. It provides assistance or intervention for children with respect to learning, emotional and behavioural differences / difficulties observed in school. The children are referred to the school counsellor by the class teachers and a preliminary assessment of the situation is made. The help is offered in terms of counselling and guiding students and parents. The cell also suggests suitable interventional remedies to handle the difficulties.
The capability and the outreach of the counselling cell in the school is limited to an initial assessment of the problem. Thereafter the parent is advised to consult specialists in the relevant field. Like the School Clinic, the role of the School’s Counselling Cell is limited to immediate orientation only. Information with regard to experts in the field is also made available to the parents on request.
- AUDITORIUM: The school has a spacious auditorium with state-of-the-art facilities. Various Inter /Intra school functions are organized and executed smoothly in the auditorium. It is equipped with the latest light and sound facilities. There is also a provision for Audio-Video presentations through the LCD Projector.
- PLAY FIELDS: To ensure holistic development of the students, games and sports are an integral part of the school curriculum. The school boasts of vast play areas for the students. Cricket and football field, basketball court and badminton court are used by the students to hone their skills. Professional coaches train the students to excel in the sport/game of their choice.
- ACTIVITY ROOM: The school has a specially designed Activity Room which is well equipped with educational toys and games that provide a stimulating environment for spontaneous learning. Children engage in various individual and group activities that facilitate hands- on learning. Real life experiences spanning the world beyond classroom are provided through the Role Play Corner, Kitchen Corner, Doctor’s Clinic, Doll House and ‘Cuddle Me’ Corner. The walls of this room too boast of characters from the imaginary world of children.
- RAMP: We at DPS Dwarka believe in inclusive education. The school has a ramp to facilitate the movement of children with special needs, who cannot use the staircase.
- POTABLE WATER: The school ensures uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water on all the floors. Water Coolers connected via water purifiers are installed in the school.
- SCHOOL CAFETERIA: The school has a hygienic, well-maintained cafe for the students. To ensure the health of the children no aerated drinks are sold. Snacks and juices/lemonade are provided at fixed prices. Only cash payment is accepted.
- SCHOOL BOOKS AND UNIFORM: These facilities are available in the school premises.
- CCTV CAMERAS: School is under CCTV surveillance so as to ensure safety & security. It helps in monitoring & keeping track of activities taking place in the school premises. There are a total of 417 Cameras installed in various parts of the school premises.
- SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT: A sewage treatment plant with the capacity of 80 Kilo Litre per day has been installed in the school. Treated water is used for the school’s horticultural needs.
- RAIN WATER HARVESTING SYSTEM: A rainwater catchment, approved by Delhi Jal Board, has been installed in the school. It has 12 pits which are regularly cleaned and maintained.
- SOLAR PANEL: Solar panels are installed on the roof of the main building to generate electricity. It has the capacity to generate around 72 KW energy which is used by the school and the remaining is supplied to BSES. The objective is to save non-renewable resources of energy and shift to renewable resources.
