CHESS CHAMP

It is a matter of immense pride that Aarnav Rawat of Class XI E won Third Position in the 1st Pro Skill Craft Open International Rating Rapid Chess Tournament organised at Thyagraj Stadium on 27 & 28 July 2024. He was awarded cash prize of Rs 4000 in the U-16 category.

DELHI OPEN STATE GYMNASTICS

It is a matter of immense pride that Arha Bhardwaj, a student of class III G has bagged three Gold Medals for floor exercises, vault and overall performance in Delhi Open State Gymnastics, Championship 2023 - 2024 held on 28 March 2024.
She also won a Bronze Medal in 2nd All India Level Wise Gymnastics Competition held on 14 April 2024.

HULA HOOPING RECORD

Siara Sehgal, student of Class II-G (Cambridge Curriculum) has set a new benchmark on 13 January 2024 in Hula Hooping History. She now holds the Harvard World Record for the maximum number of Hand Duck ins with waist hooping in a minute. She has been awarded a medal, a certificate of record holder and an acknowledgement from the prestigious institute.

FRESHER SOUTH WEST DISTRICT TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

Aadya Rohilla of class 3A participation in 2 competitions i.e. Fresher South West District Taekwondo Championship 2023 in June 2023 organised by South West Division Taekwondo Association at Dwarka Mor, New Delhi, She won a Gold Medal in a Fresher Category and she also participated in South West District Stairs Tae-Kwon-Do Championship 2023 in October 2023organized by Stair Foundation in Dwarka, New Delhi. She bagged a Gold Medal in Sub-Junior Category.

Ardawan Sharma of class 3A won a Gold Medal in Ultimate Skipping Rope Championship 2023 in October 2023 organised by Fitvist Central Academy, at Central Academy International School, Sector-10, Dwarka.

The cricket team of DPS Dwarka participated in Kanwar Ashish Cricket Tournament 2023 (U-7) held from 13 – 18 September 2023 at DPS R.K. Puram. It consisted of students of classes I & II.

The DPS Dwarka team played the following League matches:

First League match was played between DPS Dwarka and DPS VasantVihar on 13 September 2023. DPS Dwaka lost the match.
Second league match was played between DPS Dwarka and DPS Sushant Lok on 15 September 2023 and DPS Dwarka won the match by 9 wickets. Aamayra of class II A was declared Kid of the Match as she got 3 wickets in an over.

Third league match was played between DPS Dwarka and DPS Noida Sector-122 on 18 September 2023.DPS Dwarka won the match by 8 wickets. Vivyaan Pathak of II F was declared Kid of the Match as he scored 22 runs and also got 1 wicket.

The team qualified for the quarter-finals where we played against DPS Gurugram, Sector-45. DPS Dwarka played very well but lost the match by 14 runs.
It was a very good tournament and DPS Dwarka team played well and reached the quarter final.

Zonal Badminton Tournament 2018 for Sr. Girls held at St. Gregorio’s School, Sector-11, Dwarka from 09–11 August 2018.

Dharini Sharma of Class XI secured Fourth Position in Delhi State Shooting Championship and was selected to participate in the National Shooting Championship in 10 Metre Rifle Shooting held at Trivanthapuram, Kerala from 14–20 November 2018.

Jai Sachdeva of Class IX was selected to participate in the 64th National School Games Roller Hockey for Boys (U-19) held at Belgaum, Karnataka from 24–26 November 2018.

Harnadar Singh of Class IX secured Second Position in the Delhi State AITA Talent Series Championship for Boys (U-14).

Jai Sachdeva of Class VIII D won Second Position in the Open Delhi State Skating Championship held at DDA Sports Complex, Dwarka on 22 & 23 July 2017.

In the Zonal Table Tennis Tournament held at Mount Carmel School, Dwarka on 24 & 25 July 2017 our school won prizes in both the categories:

Kritika Pandey (VIII D) won Second position in the Inter Zone Competition (Sub-Jr. Category) 2017-18 held at Ludlo Castle, New Delhi from 14–16 November 2017.

Revant Jain of Class IV A won Bronze Medal in the 29th Delhi State Junior ITF Taekwon-Do Championship 2017 in the 25 to 30 Kg weight category held from
30 November–03 December 2017 at Thyagraj Stadium, New Delhi.

Diya Choudhary of IV E won Third prize in the Chess Competition (under 9 category), organized by The Hindu newspaper at Bal Bharti Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi on 18 December 2017.

Aryaman Divakaran (II C) won Third prize in the 26th Inv. Delhi State Inter School Karate Championship -2017 organized by Sports Karate Association of India at Shiksha Bharati Public School on 30 & 31 December 2017.

Udipto Kakati of Class IX C won First position in the XI Upper Assam Table Tennis Tournament held at JITA (Assam).

In the 4th Inter Club Tang Soo Do Championship held on 24 January 2016, Pratham Lonial of III D won a Gold Medal in Tae-kwon-do and a Silver Medal in Sub Junior Sparring. He is now a Green Belt Holder.

Anisha Pokhariyal of Class III B won a Silver Medal at District Level in the Tae-kwon-do Championship organized by the Tae-kwon-do Association.

In the 3rd NBS Inter-School Mini Soccer Tournament for Boys held from 02 – 04 May 2016 at Nirmal Bhartia Public School, Dwarka. DPS Dwarka students bagged the First Runners up Trophy and Silver Medals were awarded to all the participants. The team members were: Vedant Khanna (V E), Sumant Deswal (V E), Antariksh Singh Dhanda (V E), Rehaan (V E), Rohit (V B) Darsh Tripathi (V B) Vedant Arora (V D), Ayush Dahiya (V C), Millon Mudgil (V D), Pragun Churamani (V B) Keeratpreet Singh (V A) & Nipun Talwar (V C).

Parrama Chouhan of Class X D won First position in Individual Sparing and Third position in Individual TUL in the First Open ITA Taekwondo Cup 2016 held at Talkatora Stadium on 27 May 2016.

In the Zonal Inter DPS Basketball Tournament held from 06 – 08 May 2016, DPS Dwarka secured Fourth position and qualified for the National Finals to be held in the month of November 2016. Rohan Khanjuja was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament.

Aryan Chopra (VIII D) won the First Position and Bharat Gupta (XI D) bagged the Second Position in the ‘All India Inter DPS Chess Tournament’ held at DPS Mathura Road from 15 – 18 May 2015.

Shounak Dua of VI A participated in the Flt. Lt. Hoshiar Singh Rana Memorial
Sub-Junior Football Tournament held at Hisar from 16 – 19 May 2015 and secured First Position.

Harnadar Singh Kohli (VI D) was a player of the winning team at the U-12 Football Fiesta held at Thyagraj Stadium on 30 May 2015. The event was organized by FCB Escola Qatar Airways.

Pratyush Bisht (III A) participated in the Royal Chess Championship 2015 held under the aegis of Delhi Chess Association on 21 June 2015. He won First Position in the U-7 Category. He also won the Third Position in the Super Kids Chess Tournament in the U-9 Category.

Riya Choudhary (V C) participated in the Dolphin Swimming Championship held on 27 June 2015 and won Second Prize in the 25 m freestyle swimming in U-12 Category. She also won the First Prize in 50 m freestyle and Second prize in 4 x 25 metre freestyle relay.

Pratham Lonial (III D) won the First Position in the Inter-School Tang Soo Do Championship 2015 organised by Tang Soo Do Sports Association Delhi, held on 12 July 2015. He also won the Third Position in the 7th Delhi SQAY Martial Art Competition held on 12 July 2015 under the aegis of SQAY Association of Delhi.
Kamal Dagur (XII H) won Bronze Medal in the 50 mtr Breast Stroke event at the Inter DPS National Swimming Meet for Boys (Open) 2015 held at DPS Moradabad from 31 July – 02 August 2015.

In the Zonal Table Tennis Tournament (Senior Boys) held at Nirmal Bhartiya School, Dwarka from 05 - 07 August 2015 our school team bagged the First Position. The team comprised Udipta Kakaty (VIII F), Bharat Gupta (XI D) and Anurag Hans (XI E).

In the Zonal Inter DPS Basketball Tournament for Girls held at DPS Vasant Kunj from 09 – 11 October 2015, our team secured Fourth Position and qualified for the Inter DPS National Basketball Tournament for Girls held at DPS Faridabad in November 2015.

Aayush Thakur of Class XI D was selected for the National U-17 Football Team. He was one of the two boys selected from Delhi.

Sanandan Jalali of Class XII F was selected for the Football Tournament held in Spain. He also visited Netherland for the Football Trials.

Mayank Sangwan was selected by the Delhi Basketball Association to participate in the 65th Junior National Basketball Championship held at Ludhiana from 02–09 October 2015.

DPS Dwarka team was the Second Runners Up in the Zonal Cricket Tournament held at Bal Bhawan School, Dwarka from 21 – 24 November 2015.

Gurmehar Chona of Class X-C was selected to participate in the DDCA Tournament (Delhi & District Cricket Association) in the U-16 category.

Rayan Sinha of Class IX-D was selected in the Inter Zonal Cricket Team and secured Second Position. He was also selected in the Top 100 students for the DDCA Trials.
Saanvi Tanwar of Class VI-D won a Gold and a Bronze Medal in the CBSE Skating Championship (U-12) held at Rohini, New Delhi in the month of November 2015. She also won 01 Gold and 02 Silver Medals in the Federation Cup Skating Championship.

Aadya Khanna of class III-E won silver medal in the 1st Pusa Roller Skating Championship held in the month of November 2015.
