CBSE HERITAGE INDIA QUIZ 2024Students of DPS Dwarka qualified Stage 1 of the CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2024. Our school team was in the top 46 who were selected for the Stage 2 from Delhi East region. The Stage 2 Cluster round of CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2024 was organised in a hybrid mode on 12 December 2024 at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi. Six schools out of forty six qualified the Written Qualifying Round and participated in the On-Stage Round. It is a matter of immense pride that our team comprising Avnita Deepak (XII-G), Pratyush Choudhary (XI-D)and Sabhyata Singh (XI-G) were in the Top Six selected for the Final Onstage Round. It was a great learning experience for the students. |

AEON, The History Club of Delhi Public School,Dwarka organized several Inter-house competitions for the students of classes VI-VIII and IX-XI which included pop quiz, debate, script deciphering, clay modeling, data interpretation etc.
Standing by our motto, ‘Perspective Redefined',Aeon intended to integrate History with other subjects like , Political relations, Art and Craft, Religious studies, Sociology,Biology and various other disciplines through these competitions. It gave the students an opportunity to expand their horizons and hone their skills.

Quizzing Quotient, the quiz club of Delhi Public School, Dwarka hosted an Inter House competition for classes IX, X and XI on 21st October 2022. The theme of the quiz was ‘India’. It was organized in the school auditorium. In total thirty teams, each consisting of two students from the same house had registered for the event.
The competition comprised two rounds- Preliminary and the Final round. The preliminary round included a variety of questions - multiple choice, visual still questions whereas the final round was a buzzer round with questions based on current affairs, modern Indian history, Indian constitution, books and authors.There were questions for the audience as well. They were gifted chocolates for a correct answer.

An Inter-Section Group Role Play Competition - English was organised by the students of Class VII on Thursday, 20 October 2022. Every section of Class VII was represented by two teams of five members each. The participants converted the poem ‘Adventures of Isabel’ by Ogden Nash into interesting skits and enacted them beautifully on the stage using props.
The students were well-prepared and participated enthusiastically.

Special Mention - Group B (VII A)
Ms. Yashima Kharbanda was the judge for the event. She encouraged the students for a better performance in the future and appreciated them for their efforts. Overall, the event was a great success.
CLASS VI
An Inter-Section Role Play Competition for class 6th was held in the school's open air stage on 19th October 2022. The students had to enact any one scene from the chapter, ‘Home, Sweet Home’. The students participated with great fervour and zeal to make the event a grand success.
The judge, Ms Aparna Chawla encouraged the students and guided them on how they could improve their performances. The first prize was bagged by the students of class VI-A, second prize by students of class VI- B and third prize by students of class VI-F. Overall, the event was a grand show.
Diwali Class Decoration Inter Section Competition was organised for the students of class IX from 10th October 2022 to 13th October 2022.
Students participated wholeheartedly with great enthusiasm. All classrooms had a festive look with art work, lights, diyas and fresh flowers. It set the mood for the coming festive season.
Results were declared on 14th October 2022 and the winners are as below-

‘Kavya Lehar’, an Inter-House Hindi Poetry Competition for students of Class III was held on Friday, 23 September, 2022. The winners of the previously held Intra- House Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition enthusiastically participated in this event and competed against each other with a spirit of sportsmanship.
Children delightfully recited Hindi Poems based on the themes of ‘Patriotism’ and
‘Nature’. With a rhythmic manner, clear pronunciation and apt meaning, each poem
spread across a positive message to the audience.
Overall fifteen students confidently participated in the competition and were adjudged
on the criteria of clarity, confidence and pronunciation.
The Foreign Language Department celebrated ‘Literary Week’ with an array of activities through the week for Classes VI to IX in the First week of August 2022. The activities were planned to hone listening and speaking skills, creativity, abstract thinking etc.
The event turned out to be an extremely engaging experience mixing learning with fun for the children.

An Intra Section activity on Spell Bee and Quiz on Current Affairs was conducted in all sections of Class – IX on Tuesday, 19th July 2022.
The spelling of difficult words and questions on Current Affairs were picked from the newspaper copies of the entire week. Children participated with lots of enthusiasm.

Finopoly (for classes 8-9)
Finopoly was an Investment event for classes 8th and 9th.
The preliminary round took place on 27th January where students had to decode passwords for pdfs by answering business and commerce related questions.16 teams qualified for the final round which took place on 29th January via zoom. In this the students had to make a model of township. The first 3 levels were choice based while the final level was the bidding round. There was also a mini-game, bet or debt, conducted as filler before the final level. All the participants thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the final event.

Vendition Wars (Advertising and Marketing event) for classes 6-7
Vendition Wars was based on advertising where students had to participate individually.
Preliminary round took place on 23rd January 2022 , which was submission based. 20 students submitted advertisements on topics such as solar charger, covid-19 equipments etc. 10 students qualified for the final round which took place on 29th January 2022 where participants physically presented their advertisements in the most innovative style through an online meeting.
